PALCOYO - RAIMBOW MOUNTAIN
Palcoyo is a lesser known but beautiful set of rainbow-colored mountains located in the southern Andes of Peru, not far from the more famous Vinicunca, or Rainbow Mountain. Palcoyo is often considered a quieter and less crowded alternative to the more touristy Vinicunca.
What sets Palcoyo apart are its vibrant, multicolored hillsides, formed by mineral deposits that give the landscape its striking hues. The region is also home to breathtaking views of large mountain ranges, snow-capped peaks and the majestic Ausangate Glacier.
This adventure is unique and the hike will not be too strenuous and you will be able to admire these natural wonders in the middle of the Andes.

This adventure is unique and the hike will not be too strenuous and you will be able to admire these natural wonders in the middle of the Andes.
We will pick you up at 4:00 a.m. to start the trip in our private transportation and in the middle of the journey we will stop for breakfast at a tourist restaurant and then we will continue driving for 2 more hours until we reach the starting point of the hike.
First you will have time to pack your backpack and the clothes you will wear for this trek depending on the weather. We will start climbing up the trail until we reach the viewpoint, this will take approximately 40 minutes. From there you will have a panoramic view of the 3 colorful mountains and the entire Andes mountain range that is around this beautiful place created by nature. You will be able to observe the snow-capped peaks and especially the great glacier of Ausangate, Protector of the Andes.
You will have all the time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures of the memory and then we will arrive to another viewpoint located on large stones and from there you can continue enjoying all the natural wonder of the mountains, feel the real connection with the Andes and the freedom that you can only feel in this fabulous place.
After enjoying this beautiful place we will descend and board our transportation and on the way admire the different villages along the journey. See the agricultural centers of potato and corn, the terraces on the slopes of the hills and the local people with their typical costumes of the region, in the restaurant we will enjoy a buffet lunch and then continue for another hour and thirty minutes to reach the city of Cusco and there we will leave you at your hotel to rest.
